Sales is a contact sport.

You can have a great product, a talented team and an ambitious strategy — but if your organization doesn't know how to sell, scaling will remain painfully difficult.

For this first Sales Circle, we’re going back to what really makes sales work: obsession, contact, discipline and execution.

How do you create a real sales culture rather than simply hire salespeople? How do you keep opening doors, listening to the market and building relationships while maintaining the discipline needed to turn opportunities into revenue? And how do you move from founder-led sales to a repeatable sales organization without losing the energy that made those first deals possible?

Expect a candid conversation about what actually happens in the field: the importance of active listening, building and nurturing relationships, creating a continuous sales process, learning from market feedback, and making sure the entire organization — not only the sales team — is genuinely customer and sales-oriented.

No textbook formulas. Tiphaine and Pierre will confront their experiences, convictions and lessons learned in a lively ping-pong conversation, including what worked, what didn't, and what they would do differently today.

And they might challenge a few assumptions along the way.

Meet the speakers

Tiphaine Barras built her career around sales and business development, despite initially having no intention of becoming a salesperson. From Citobi and Actito/MediQuality to Medscape/WebMD, she has experienced the journey from individual sales to building and leading teams, while helping grow businesses and managing increasingly international responsibilities.

Pierre De Nayer combines entrepreneurship, sales and leadership experience across biotech, P&G, McKinsey, Actito/MediQuality and WebMD Medscape. Today, alongside his leadership responsibilities within WebMD Medscape, he has contributed to multiple acquisitions for the group. His conviction is simple: sales isn't just a department — it needs to become part of the company's culture.

About the Sales Circles

Sales Circles are a new monthly breakfast series dedicated to sales professionals, founders and business leaders who want to strengthen the way their organizations sell.

Each session brings experienced sales leaders to The POD to share real-world experience, convictions, methods and lessons learned — followed by an open discussion with the group.

The goal is simple: learn from people who sell every day and leave with ideas you can actually apply.
