The Residency
A 10-Week Creative Studio for High Schoolers
What's included
Your Studio Desk — your own section of the shared digital studio board, where you draft, build, and brainstorm across all ten weeks
The Weekly Ship — every Sunday, one artifact to the works-in-progress board, tagged for your Studio Mate with a specific question
Your Studio Mate — the first person to see your work every week, all ten weeks; you do the same for them
The Tuesday Session — 60 minutes on Zoom, every Tuesday, full cohort
The Desk Sweep — twice a week your Studio Guide moves through every desk; by the time Tuesday's session begins, she already knows where you are, and her notes are waiting on your desk
The Week 10 Showcase — finished projects presented live to an invited audience
September 15 – November 17, 2026 · Every Tuesday · 5:30–6:30 PM Eastern · Live on Zoom · Cohort capped at 8 · Admission by application
Tuition & Payment
Founding Cohort: $1,300 (standard tuition of $1500 begins Spring 2027). The founding rate is offered in exchange for an honest review from student and parent at the close of Week 10 — about 10 minutes, and it means a great deal to a new program.
Tuition is collected in full upon acceptance. Your card is authorized on submission and charged only if you are accepted. Applications are reviewed within 2 business days.
Cancellation & Refunds
More than 30 days before start: 75% refunded. 14–30 days: 50% refunded. Fewer than 14 days: no refund.
To cancel, reply to your acceptance confirmation email.
Before you apply
You need a specific creative project you're ready to build — a podcast, essay collection, zine, video essay, or something else — and the drive to develop it over 10 weeks. You don't need a portfolio or existing work.
Not the right fit if you don't have a project idea yet, prefer to work entirely privately, or can't commit to the Tuesday live sessions.
Open to grades 10–12. Motivated 9th graders welcome to apply.
