Session #3 — Qigong: Working with Life Energy

​With Joris Kemna — qigong teacher and movement practitioner

In this SPARK Clubhouse session, we explore something we all talk about, but rarely train: energy.

​“I’m exhausted.”
“That drains me.”
“This gives me energy.”

​But what actually shapes your energy throughout the day?

​Qi (or Chi) is the Chinese word for “life energy”: the force behind breath, focus and movement. Gong means “work”: the benefits acquired through perseverance and practice. 

​Qi Gong is an ancient practice thousands of years old, that teaches you how to work with life energy and how to control and distribute this energy through your body. With discipline of daily practice, this brings harmony of body, heart and mind and a bigger vitality.

​During this evening, you’ll receive a practical introduction to Qigong. You’ll:
– Have an introduction in the principles and history of Qigong
– Experience a simple and guided exercise
– Leave with a concrete tool you can apply in daily life

​No experience needed. Just curiosity about how your body and energy work together.

​Joris Kemna is an experienced qigong teacher, known for his grounded and precise guidance. He translates ancient techniques into clear and accessible practices.
