About Event

Curious about building your own app, but not sure where to start?
Join us for the Hands-On Vibe Coding Workshop - a practical, beginner-friendly workshop where you'll learn how to build and deploy a simple full-stack web application using modern tools.

This session introduces you to vibe coding - a relaxed, intuitive approach to software development that focuses on learning by doing rather than memorising theory.

This isn’t another networking event or talk-fest. It's a hands-on, practical session designed to get you building from the start - no fluff, just real skills.

You’ll be working with tools like Cursor, Supabase, Vercel, and GitHub - even if you’ve never used them before. Whether you're completely new to coding or looking to understand how modern apps come together, this is a space to learn by doing.

🔧 What You’ll Learn:

  • How to use Cursor (an AI-powered coding workspace)

  • How to work with Supabase to store, retrieve, and update data

  • How to deploy a live app with Vercel

  • The basics of GitHub and version control

  • Core concepts of full-stack development, including handling inputs and connecting to a database

if you don't know what those pieces of software are above that's fine! Ill be explaining on the day!

💬 Why This Workshop?

I’m running this because I find it incredibly rewarding to watch non-technical people realise they can build real software. You don’t need to be a developer - just curious, open, and willing to dive in. This session is all about showing you how approachable and empowering coding can be.

💻 What to Bring:

  • Your laptop

  • An open mind and a willingness to get hands-on

  • This event isn't catered, so bringing snacks would be a good idea.

👥 What to Expect:

  • Live walkthroughs and step-by-step guidance

  • Real-time problem solving and support

  • A relaxed, beginner-friendly space

  • A completed project you can continue working on

  • No panels. Just learning by doing.
