Talking to machines: Connection in the era of AI
AI is reshaping how we work, how we live, how we make decisions and how we interract with eachother.
AI has been around for decades, long before chatbots, it lived quietly in systems, labs and infrastructure.
A very short timeline
1950s–60s: The term Artificial Intelligence is coined. Early ideas: “Can machines think?”
2022: ChatGPT makes AI conversational, public, emotional and globally fit
Now we talk to screens every day (every minute), AI is our invisible companion, it responds to us, predicts for us, mirrors us.
Tonight we gather to talk about the relationship between technology and humans.
Because in the age of AI, the question isn’t can machines replace humans? It’s why do humans stop responding to each other?
If machines can model listening, patience, and responsiveness what does that ask of us as humans?
This is a space for engineers, designers, and makers who want to explore AI as a mirror, a tool, and a collaborator without hype, without fear. We’ll experiment, discuss, and reflect on how technology is changing how humans respond, relate and create together.
The evening includes:
a fireside chat that gathers leaders from different fields and their relationship with AI (speakers to be announced)
guided small-group conversations using InnerOn’s signature table game.
Come with questions. Leave with perspectives.
