About Event

In collaboration with the Department for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade and the Early Careers Jobs Alliance, we’d like to invite you to join a policy discussion on Early Careers and AI in the Digital and Technology sector on 12 October, 12.30–3.00pm at No.1 Circle Square, Manchester.

Representatives from the Department will join us alongside employers and sector leaders, giving members the opportunity to contribute directly to the discussion around how AI is changing entry-level work and what action is needed to protect and strengthen routes into the sector.

The Early Careers Jobs Alliance brings together government, employers and unions and is co-chaired by our Managing Director, Katie Gallagher OBE and Mike Clancy, General Secretary of Prospect and reports into the Minister for the Future of Work, Kate Dearden.

We want the discussion to be practical. We’ll look at how entry-level roles and tasks are changing, where employers are seeing challenges, what good practice is emerging and what interventions could make a genuine difference.

Your input will help build the evidence base for the Alliance’s interim report and shape a series of pilots designed to test practical solutions with employers and young people.

If you are working at the coalface and seeing how AI is changing tasks or you are responsible for hiring, workforce planning, skills or early careers, we’d be grateful for your input.
