HEC IA Association × OpenAI Paris — Forward Deployment Hackathon
30 hours. 3 real-world challenges. Mentorship from OpenAI engineers.
HEC IA Association and OpenAI Paris bring together engineering and business students for a Forward Deployment Hackathon on the HEC Paris campus.
In teams of four, build with Codex and the OpenAI API to turn messy public data into a working solution with measurable value—the core of forward deployment.
Three challenges
Vehicle safety: detect early warning signals ahead of a potential recall.
Public procurement: benchmark suppliers, compare prices and flag anomalies.
Property transactions: identify atypical sales for closer examination.
From problem to prototype
OpenAI engineers will mentor you on technical choices, evaluations, costs and failure cases. Your final pitch must demonstrate how your solution works and what it delivers for its user. The jury will assess technical execution and business reasoning together.
Apply individually or with a team
Engineering and business profiles are welcome. Come with a team of four, an incomplete team or on your own—you can form your team on site. Each participant must apply individually and list any teammates.
Admission is selective. Applications enter a waiting list pending review by HEC IA. Your place is confirmed only upon acceptance by email.
