Base44 Build Night: Build Something People Want
Thursday, November 12, 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Dudley Moorhead Hall 358, SJSU
Build the tool you wish existed. Chances are, someone else wishes it existed too.
We all have small problems, annoying workflows, or recurring frustrations that make us think, "There should be an app for this." Most of those ideas never get built because they seem too specific, too difficult, or not important enough.
Base44 Build Night is about testing that assumption.
Base44 is an AI app-building platform that lets you describe what you want in natural language and turn it into a working web application. It handles much of the application infrastructure around what you build, so you can spend more of the night thinking about the problem, experimenting with your solution, and getting something usable in front of other people.
Come with an idea, or find one when you get here. Build solo or with a team of up to four people. No prior Base44 experience is required, and beginners are welcome.
The goal is not to build the most technically complicated project. Start with a problem you understand, build something useful to yourself, then find out who else needed it.
At the end of the night, teams will demo their projects in small rotating groups and evaluate one another's work in a project tournament. The strongest projects will compete for cash prizes.
You'll get:
Cash prizes
Base44 AI credits
Snacks and Coca Cola
A working project you can keep building after the event
There are no stupid questions. Sometimes the question you are hesitant to ask is the same one somebody else has been trying to figure out how to ask.
The same applies to software.
Start with a problem you understand. Build something you wish existed. Find out who else needed it.
