Upaya Prelude
UPAYA Prelude • Conscious Sober Rave • Open Mic Hosted by Sarah Janabi Special Access
The Prelude is the intimate expression of the UPAYA movement.
While UPAYA is evolving into a large-scale festival, the Prelude remains where its essence is experienced most deeply, a smaller gathering that prioritises genuine connection, conscious music, and shared human experience. It is a space to slow down, meet like-minded people, and experience what the movement is truly about before it continues to grow.
Expect a Boiler Room-style setting where music surrounds rather than performs, and where community takes centre stage.
The Opening
Before the musical journey begins, guests will take part in a warm interactive session and playful icebreaker designed to foster connection, shared presence, and meaningful conversations. For those seeking a quieter experience, a guided session in the garden will also be available.
We kindly recommend arriving from 4:00 PM to fully immerse yourself in this opening moment of connection.
The Elixirs
Each guest will receive a choice of ceremonial cacao, matcha, or coffee, lovingly prepared with ingredients rooted in Ayurvedic tradition. Sohum is known for its commitment to wellness through flavour, pure, intentional, and nourishing.
The Sound
Expect a blend of soulful house, ethnic downtempo, organic rhythms, and melodic beats curated to lift spirits and move bodies. And yes, a touch of familiar favourites to sing along to when the energy calls for it.
The Afterglow
Following the dance journey, guests are invited to unwind with a specially curated dining experience from Sohum's kitchen, where high-vibrational ingredients meet modern culinary craft.
Sohum will also be curating a series of special activations following the main event, offering moments of nourishment, reflection, and connection you won't want to miss.
Dress Code
Boho chic is ideal, think flowy, free-spirited, elegant, and earthy. Dress the energy you wish to embody.
Kids Policy
Children under 15 years of age are welcome to join free of charge. Identification may be requested at the door, so we kindly recommend bringing a valid ID if applicable.
