She Ships With Kat Hughes

Kat Hughes has spent years on both sides of the engineering equation — writing code, leading teams, and now helping developers do both better.

Roxy sits down with the Developer Relations Engineer at Coder, who built her foundation as a full-stack developer and senior engineer before stepping into engineering management at Veracode.

Along the way she’s been showing up for the Dallas developer community as an advocate, event organizer, and the kind of person who volunteers to manage an entire conference.

Her pivot into DevRel isn’t a departure from engineering — it’s what happens when a deeply technical person realizes their superpower is bringing other people along with them.
