​What happens when cutting-edge research meets real industrial needs?

​On 24 September 2026, the Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL), and the University of Latvia bring together researchers, technology developers, industry representatives and innovators for a full day of technology insights, industry dialogue, laboratory visits and networking.

​The day combines two complementary programmes:

​INDUSTRY DAY - a focused morning bringing research closer to industry through Technology Spotlights, industry feedback and questions, and guided laboratory tours. Researchers as well as industry partners from the SWEB and FeLow-D projects will showcase emerging technologies in functional coatings, smart windows, additive manufacturing, sensing, biomedicine, energy harvesting and water treatment.

​SENSING THE FUTURE - an afternoon at the House of Science at the University of Latvia, organised within the BioPhoT programme, invites to explore technologies shaping Energy, Communications and Advanced Manufacturing. The programme features a fireside chat with Prof. Koen Bertels on quantum computing, DNA data storage and the Unveil model, technology pitches, an Industry Reality Check and the 40-Second Matchmaker - a fast-paced networking session designed to spark new connections and collaboration.

​2026. gada 24. septembrī Latvijas Universitātes Cietvielu fizikas institūts (LU CFI) un Latvijas Universitāte pulcēs pētniekus, tehnoloģiju izstrādātājus, industrijas pārstāvjus un inovatorus, lai vienas dienas laikā iepazītu jaunākās tehnoloģijas, diskutētu ar industrijas pārstāvjiem, apmeklētu laboratorijas un veidotu jaunus sadarbības kontaktus.

​Diena apvieno divas savstarpēji papildinošas programmas:

​INDUSTRIJAS DIENA - rīta programma, kas tuvina pētniecību industrijai, piedāvājot tehnoloģiju prezentācijas, industrijas atgriezenisko saiti un jautājumus, kā arī laboratoriju apmeklējumus. SWEB un FeLow-D projektu pētnieki un industrijas partneri prezentēs perspektīvas tehnoloģijas funkcionālo pārklājumu, viedo logu, aditīvās ražošanas, sensoru, biomedicīnas, enerģijas ieguves un ūdens attīrīšanas jomās.

​SENSING THE FUTURE - pēcpusdienas programma Latvijas Universitātes Zinātņu mājā, kas tiek organizēta BioPhoT programmas ietvaros, piedāvā iepazīt tehnoloģijas, kas veido enerģētikas, komunikāciju un progresīvās ražošanas nākotni. Programmā - saruna ar prof. Koenu Bertelsu par kvantu skaitļošanu, DNS datu glabāšanu un Unveil modeli, tehnoloģiju prezentācijas, Industry Reality Check un 40-Second Matchmaker - dinamiska tīklošanās sesija jaunu kontaktu un sadarbības iespēju veidošanai.
