In 2018, Alexa and Aja connected through their corporate careers, where they managed numerous events across North America. Alexa’s experience in marketing and event planning for major brands like Etsy and SoulCycle during their Canadian expansion brought a fresh, innovative approach, while Aja’s decade-long experience in weddings and personal events added a traditional, personal touch.
Their shared passion for creating memorable events led them to start planning weddings and other occasions on weekends, even as they continued their corporate work. What began as a weekend side hustle soon grew into a full-time business. Duet was born and is now recognized as a top wedding and event planner across Canada and US markets.
