In THE ANTI-ABLEIST MANIFESTO, Tiffany Yu presents frameworks for conversations, breaks down the language of ableism, and proposes real actions that lead to genuine and authentic allyship. Yu includes contributions from disability advocates, activists, authors, entrepreneurs, scholars, educators, and executives to highlight the importance of an intersectional view of disability and celebrates the power of stories and lived experiences to center the vast range of disabled identities that have far too often been “othered” and rendered invisible.

Organized from the personal to the professional, the domestic to the political, Me to We to Us, THE ANTI-ABLEIST MANIFESTO offers the tools to become an active anti-ableist including:

  • Ways to support disabled people within our communities

  • Identifying and preventing microaggressions, and removing ableist language from our vocabulary

  • How to increase accessibility in public and professional spaces

  • How to create truly inclusive events

ABOUT KYLE STEPP

Kyle Stepp is an internationally ranked elite paratriathlete, speaker, and social impact leader, recognized as a Business First 40 Under 40 honoree. After a life-altering accident, he transformed adversity into purpose, becoming a national voice for health equity, outdoor access, disability rights, and LGBTQ+ inclusion.

Currently, he serves as National Strategic Partnerships Lead for So Every BODY Can Move (SEBCM), a national disability rights and healthcare initiative working to modernize outdated insurance coverage for prosthetic, orthotic, and mobility care. Through its 28x28 campaign—a national distributed organization campaign to pass legislation in 28 states by the 2028 Los Angeles Paralympics—SEBCM is laying the groundwork for future federal reform while expanding access to care for millions.

With over a decade of experience in partnership development and movement-building, Kyle has worked across nonprofits, campaigns, and mission-driven brands to drive change. His experience also spans gubernatorial campaigns and advising elected officials, where he has contributed to policy strategy, stakeholder engagement, and public-facing initiatives.

He has advised organizations including Cotopaxi, The North Face, lululemon, Strava, and SRAM on strengthening disability inclusion and accessibility in the outdoor and athletic industries.

His broader advocacy includes partnerships with national movements such as the Outdoor Opportunity Coalition, CureFest Childhood Cancer Advocacy, and Protect Our Winters. He has also worked for organizations like Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals—where he helped expand the national Dance Marathon program—and nonprofits including Camp Enchantment and the Range of Motion Project to increase access, community, and care for people with chronic conditions and disabilities.

As an athlete, Kyle competes internationally for Team USA in paratriathlon and off-road para-cycling, and is an avid skier and mountaineer. He has summited glacier-covered volcanoes including Cotopaxi (19,347 ft) and Cayambe (18,996 ft), using each expedition to elevate awareness and advocacy.

He believes movement is a fundamental part of being human—and that sport can transform systems as much as it transforms people. His work is dedicated to turning that belief into lasting change.
