Renewable energy is one of the fastest-growing sectors worldwide — and engineers from Pakistan are uniquely positioned to play a key role in it. From operating large-scale wind farms to designing advanced energy systems, the global clean energy transition demands multidisciplinary skills and adaptability.

DreamBridge.ai presents “From NUST to Northeastern: Breaking into Energy Systems & Sustainability Careers”, a session that dives into how young engineers can transition from local experience in renewables to advanced study and career opportunities in the U.S. and beyond.

Meet the Guest:

Husnain Ahmed is an Energy Systems graduate student at Northeastern University with hands-on experience in renewable power generation, data-driven maintenance, and grid optimization.
He previously worked as an Operations Engineer at Sapphire Renewables (Tricon Boston Consulting Corporation), where he ensured over 98% annual plant availability across large-scale wind power assets.
Earlier, as Lead Electrical Engineer at Formula Electric Racing – NUST, Husnain represented Pakistan at Formula Student UK, leading the design of a high-performance electric vehicle.

Come prepared with questions about:

  • Transitioning from Pakistan’s renewable sector to graduate studies in the U.S.

  • Real-world operations of wind and solar power plants

  • Data and SCADA systems for predictive maintenance

  • Career pathways in energy systems, sustainability, and power engineering

  • Building a strong profile before applying to grad school
