Digital Detox: Log Off, Lean Into Life
In this guided session, we’ll explore the power of digital detox—practicing intentional pauses, setting boundaries with technology, and reclaiming time for presence and self-reflection. Through interactive exercises and reflection prompts, you’ll reconnect with your inner rhythms, rediscover joy in simple moments, and create space to hear yourself again.
Purpose: Help participants recognize the impact of constant connectivity, build awareness of digital habits, and learn simple, sensory-based tools to reconnect with their inner calm and joy.
Structure/Example:
- Symbolically “check in” to Camp Mayfair by setting devices on DND and taking three grounding breaths.
- Guided visualization through a peaceful nature scene using the five senses to anchor in presence.
- Journal prompt exercise with prompts like “Where does technology add value?” and “Where does it drain me?”
- Create Digital Intention Camp Badge (a word, doodle, or phrase) that represents how they want to feel when unplugged. This can be theoretically/imaginary.
Outcome: Participants leave with a defined digital wellness intention and a creative reminder to pause, unplug, and choose presence.
