THE VEIL IS THIN: Storytelling + A/V Improvs
CONCEPT
Storytellers are placed with a few sound artists/musicians and video/visual artists for 30-minute slots. (The story does not need to be this long; music/AV interludes will create contemplative space around each story!). You'll sign up in advance to be a storyteller, musician, or AV, or other medium contributor.
Participation in performance is not required for attendance.

This is a Halloween/Samhain-themed potluck. Snacks, mains, sides, bottled and canned beverages, and fizzy water are all welcomed.
HOW IT WORKS
Once you've RSVP'd, you'll have access to a sign-up sheet where you can express interest in performing in a specific medium.
Storytellers: The prompt is to tell a tale of paranormal encounter. It can be something that happened to you, a creative retelling of a folk tale or someone else's story. Topics may include UFOs/UAP, extraterrestrials, ghosts/spirits, cryptids, clowns, interdimensional beings, ouija boards, telepathy, angels, entities, visions, spiritual downloads, near-death experiences, astral projection, etc.
A/V Artists (including instrumentalists): The prompt is to accompany, through improvisation and listening, the storyteller you are paired with.

Storytelling about these topics can open portals for chaotic or ill-intending entities. To ensure that we create a safe spiritual container, we will open/close the event with appropriate preventative and protective rituals. Air Quality / Allergens: a dog lives here; there are no cats; air purifier will be running in basement
