PR Day Parade: Cleanup Volunteer Registration
Join The Bushwick Trash Lady in partnership with Trash Foundation and volunteers from across New York City as we help restore the streets following the Puerto Rican Day Parade. Every year, thousands of people come together to celebrate Puerto Rican culture, heritage, and community. Once the festivities conclude, we'll be walking behind the parade route to help remove litter and leave the city cleaner than we found it.
Beginning at 3:00 PM, volunteers will spread out along the parade route and surrounding areas to collect litter, sort recyclable materials when possible, and help prevent waste from entering storm drains, waterways, and public spaces.
WE CAN WORK IN SHIFTS!
The Sanitation Department run the parade route with street sweepers after the event. I will need one group to walk with the parade and another to follow the sanitation department.
More information regarding start times and shifts to come.
