TriEdge presents: An Evening with Israel's National AI Directorate
On Wednesday, November 18th, Simcha Hyman and TriEdge Investments will host an intimate, invitation-only reception welcoming Erez Askal, Head of Israel’s National AI Directorate, and his senior leadership team to New York.
Held at a private residence in Central Park Tower, the evening will convene approximately 60 distinguished leaders from the U.S. technology, investment, and philanthropic communities. The gathering will provide an opportunity to engage directly with the Directorate’s leadership, learn about Israel’s national AI ambitions, and explore opportunities for U.S.–Israel collaboration.
The reception will also introduce the U.S. Institute for Israeli AI & Frontier Technologies, a new initiative being founded by TriEdge Investments to build enduring connections between Israel’s emerging technology priorities and the American ecosystem.
Israel’s National AI Directorate
Established under the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office and approved by the Cabinet in May 2026, the National AI Directorate is charged with advancing Israel’s national AI strategy and strengthening its position as a global leader in artificial intelligence.
Led by Erez Askal, the Directorate is developing the national architecture required to accelerate Israel’s AI capabilities and competitiveness. Its mandate spans strategic computing infrastructure, frontier research, human capital and education, and the adoption of AI across government and industry.
The Directorate is also building partnerships with leading international technology companies, research institutions, and other stakeholders to help translate Israel’s technological strengths into national economic, scientific, and societal impact.
The U.S. Institute for Israeli AI & Frontier Technologies
Founded by TriEdge Investments, the Institute is being established as an independent U.S. nonprofit and strategic partner to Israel’s National AI Directorate.
Its mission is to advance Israel’s AI and frontier-technology ecosystem by mobilizing American support, talent, institutional partnerships, and philanthropic capital for public benefit.
The Institute will serve as a lasting bridge between Israel’s national technology priorities and leading U.S. universities, labs, technology companies, foundations, and philanthropic leaders. Its initial areas of focus include:
Knowledge & Leadership: Advancing research, education, and dialogue on AI and frontier technologies.
Institutional Partnerships: Connecting Israeli priorities with leading U.S. institutions and technology leaders.
Talent & Philanthropy: Supporting scientific exchange, fellowships, and high-impact public-benefit initiatives.
Through this partnership, TriEdge and the Institute seek to support the AI Directorate and help build a new platform for U.S.-Israel collaboration around the technologies that will shape the coming decades.
