AI in Accounting: Workshop 102
About this event
This session builds on AI in Accounting Workshop 101 with a hands-on look at building more complex AI agents for accounting work. We'll run two real-world payroll registers with wrinkles (new hires, bonuses, department transfers), then use a reconciliation agent to produce a consolidated register and a plain-English flux narrative across all three periods. You'll see how a multi-step agent handles variance analysis at a level a single-prompt tool can't.
What you'll learn
Apply agent-building techniques to construct a reconciliation agent that processes multiple payroll registers
Differentiate between single-step and multi-step agent architectures when consolidating financial data across periods
Analyze variances across payroll periods to determine the adjustments needed for an accurate consolidated register and flux narrative
Who should attend
Anyone curious about building AI agents and looking to apply them to real accounting workflows. This session picks up where Workshop 101 left off, so some familiarity with basic AI agent concepts is helpful. No coding experience needed.
Led by
Reagan started his career at Ernst & Young in the Assurance (Audit) practice, working with public and private clients, including Fortune 500 and non-Fortune 500 companies, across the Honolulu and San Francisco offices. He then moved to Fin as a GL and Compensation Accountant, where he owned all compensation areas for the company for a year and a half. He brings a practitioner's view of payroll and reconciliation work to how these agents are built.
