Two weeks building and living with products in health and longevity in 🏯 Kobe, Japan ⛩️
From 10-25 October, we are staying in the National Strategic Special Zone in Kobe, Japan. The Sanctuary is a real world innovation enclave for 5 residents and will be part of the Mirai Tech Popup City.
Let's create a living showcase of the next generation of health and longevity tech
For two weeks, we will live and work together, test products and longevity interventions in daily life, support each other’s progress, and meet companies in Kobe’s biomedical ecosystem.

Each resident will work toward validating a personal hypothesis. We will document what we learned, submit it to the Mirai Tech City playbook, and leave with practical next steps and partnerships.
Programme structure
The programme will leave most days open for personal interests, focused work, and spontaneous collaboration. Accepted participants will help shape the detailed schedule during the upfront online preparation phase.
Activities during the stay include:
Testing, accountability, and progress: During the stay, we will share progress updates to hold one another accountable, gather insights, and exchange practical advice on product, marketing, fundraising, and organizational design.
Kobe NSSZ ecosystem access: Field trips and private visits to companies and research organizations within the Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster (KBiC).
Tools, supplements, peptides, and N=1 protocols: We will learn from each other how to improve our health through better sleep, nutrition, movement, recovery, self-measurement, and sustainable working rhythms.
How to join the Sanctuary
Apply as a resident: Live and work with us in the house, improve your health and working rhythms, and make tangible progress. After submitting the application, we will work together on integrating your tech into the residency.
Submit a project to test: Participate remotely (or from a different house) by providing a product, prototype, intervention, or tool for the group to experiment with. The exact testing methodology and results will depend on your current stage and our capacity.
Purpose and outputs
During and after the residency, we will capture:
Our individual progress in a report
Project-testing observations and feedback
Insights from workshops, field trips, and ecosystem conversations
The most useful insights will be synthesized into a case study report with individual and collective learnings. Raw collected data will be stored locally and encrypted.
Cost and contribution
For this Sanctuary cohort, the programme fee will be waived so we can focus on creating an excellent experience and case study.
The cost for accommodation and recurring healthy meals will be approximately $1,000 USD per person for two weeks.
