TOCO Talks

​TOCO Sessions is a monthly evening speaker series in Ottawa for founders, operators, researchers, students, and the intellectually curious.

​Each session brings together a carefully curated group of 30 attendees for an evening focused on meaningful conversation, practical insight, and high-quality connection. Every event features one invited speaker delivering a deep dive into their field of expertise, followed by moderated discussion and structured networking designed to make meeting people feel intentional rather than random.

​The room is intentionally interdisciplinary, bringing together people across entrepreneurship, AI, business, engineering, healthcare, academia, marketing, law, economics, and research.

​Schedule

​6:30 PM – Arrival & Introductions
Guests arrive, receive name tags with conversation prompts, and are introduced to other attendees intentionally based on shared interests and backgrounds.

​7:00 PM – Featured Talk
A 45-minute lecture from the evening’s speaker focused on a topic of real depth and substance.

​7:45 PM – Moderated Q&A
An open discussion where attendees can ask questions, challenge ideas, and continue the conversation with the speaker.

​8:00 PM – Curated Networking
Structured networking designed to encourage thoughtful conversations between attendees across industries and disciplines.

​9:00 PM – Event Conclusion

​TOCO Sessions was created to help bridge the gap between Ottawa’s fragmented tech, research, academic, and business communities through smaller, more intentional gatherings centered around ideas worth discussing.
