📌 About the talk
Artificial intelligence (AI) is impacting healthcare more and more. Currently, many usages of AI are unregulated. General-purpose AI Systems are (mis-)used for healthcare purposes (e.g. conversational systems are used for translation clinical documents into patient language or for answering patient questions). In this talk, I will present some real-world incidents of AI in healthcare and a possible approach for introducing a failure culture. Only when we are aware of possible risks and limitations of AI, we can use AI tools in a responsible manner.
Organized by the I-PSI-TEC lab at the Universitat de València, these monthly online talks feature AI experts from different fields—computer science, psychology, philosophy, and beyond— who help us understand what is happening around us and what it means for our minds, our health, and our society.
