About Event

AI can generate, diagnose, and even repair tests. The harder part is making sure it understands what actually failed before it changes anything.

A broken Playwright test could point to an outdated locator, a synchronisation issue, or a genuine application regression. Without enough context, an AI agent can end up fixing the test while hiding the real problem.

At The Test Tribe’s 10th New York Meetup, Srinivas Rao Jonnakuti, Senior QA Leader, will explore how Graph Retrieval-Augmented Generation (Graph RAG) can give specialised AI agents context across requirements, source code, tests, and execution evidence before they diagnose or repair a failure.

Session

Repairing Playwright Tests with Specialised AI Agents and Graph RAG

Speaker: Srinivas Rao Jonnakuti, Senior QA Leader

Using an illustrative checkout scenario, Srinivas will walk through a workflow where specialised agents handle different stages of the testing process, from planning and test generation to execution, diagnosis, and repair.

The session will cover:

  • How Graph RAG connects related software artefacts to support diagnosis and repair

  • How specialised agents can divide responsibilities across the testing workflow

  • How traces, network evidence, and repository changes can help distinguish test defects, application regressions, and synchronisation issues

  • How AI-assisted repairs can be validated without weakening existing assertions

  • Safeguards such as regression checks, repair limits, and human review for higher-risk changes

The focus is not on making AI repair more tests automatically, but on giving it enough context to understand why a test failed, what should change, and what should be left untouched.
