Breaking the Automation Monolith - 1st Boston Meetup
Breaking the Automation Monolith | 1st Boston Meetup
After New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Austin, Seattle, Dallas, Atlanta, Houston, Denver, and DC, The Test Tribe is finally bringing its community meetup to Boston.
This is the first one.
Come for the session, stay for the conversations. Along with Sandeep’s talk, there’ll be time to meet QA professionals, SDETs, developers, and engineers from across the Boston community.
Session
Breaking the Automation Monolith: A Plug-and-Play Approach to Scalable App Automation
Speaker: Sandeep Anjaneya
Software Engineer III, Chewy
One repo. One owner. Every team waiting in line.
That is what many mobile automation frameworks become as they grow. A new capability means changing the core framework, waiting for review, and coordinating across teams for something that should have been much simpler.
Sandeep rebuilt his team’s framework so individual teams could ship their own plugins without touching core.
On September 23, he’ll walk through the approach, including the architecture, the ownership model, and the decisions he would make differently today.
What You’ll Take Away
A modular architecture pattern you can map to your existing framework
A plugin ownership model that reduces cross-team dependency
Common failure modes to understand before refactoring a monolithic setup
