Setting Higher Standards in Test Automation: A Playwright Case Study
Speaker: Ankit Tomar, Senior QA
A large test suite does not necessarily mean a reliable one.
In this session, Ankit will review a small Playwright project as if it were part of a production codebase. Through a before-and-after walkthrough, he will examine common automation problems and show how the framework can be improved.
The session will cover areas such as:
Reducing instability in automated tests
Improving selector design
Strengthening assertions
Removing hardcoded waits
Clarifying responsibilities within the framework
Applying design patterns that support maintainability as the suite grows
The focus is not simply on writing more tests, but on improving the quality of the automation itself so that it remains useful as the application and test suite evolve.
