From 72 Hours to 3.5: A Quality-Driven Redesign of Retroactive Billing
Speaker: Vinitha Kalappurakkal
A retroactive billing process in a healthcare platform was taking approximately 72 hours at full production volume. Its core calculation was tightly coupled with invoice generation, making independent testing and validation difficult.
Vinitha will share how separating the retroactive calculation into its own stage made the process easier to verify and reduced processing time to roughly 3.5 hours.
