About Event
AI Yako, Swahili for "Your AI", is a one-week hackathon at Node NBO in Nairobi, built around AI that runs fully on your own device. No cloud, no subscription, no data leaving your phone.
Teams build with QVAC, Tether's local AI stack, across three tracks: offline AI apps, moving a cloud product on-device, and on-device agentic finance with WDK. Every project is judged with the internet switched off. If it needs a connection, it does not place.
Kickoff Saturday 24 October, build week through the middle, demo day Saturday 31 October. Hosted with Node NBO.
