About Event

Divergent Teams is hosting a virtual college speaker panel on May 18th ahead of our in-person hackathon at the Microsoft Office in Atlanta on May 29th. This panel brings together exceptional students in computer science and entrepreneurship to share their insights on building projects and what it actually takes to break into top CS programs and opportunities.

Speakers include:

• Sahiti Dasari: UPenn M&T (Wharton + Penn Engineering)
RISE Global Winner, Coca-Cola Scholar Regional Finalist, NCWIT National Award Honoree, and U.S. Presidential Scholar Semifinalist. Sahiti is also a Rise Global Winner and has led large-scale Hack Club initiatives, including organizing major hackathons such as Ascend at SpaceX and interviewing major tech founders. Her experience spans cybersecurity engineering at Siemens Energy, human-computer interaction research at Georgia Tech, and extensive student leadership in global tech communities and hackathon programs.

• Nachammai(Nachu) Annamalai: Princeton University
GE-Reagan Scholar, 2025 Coca-Cola Scholar Semifinalist, NCWIT National Honoree, and ISEF finalist. Nachu also received the Congressional Gold Medal for youth civic service that reached students across 14+ countries. She has built award-winning AI and accessibility projects, competed in national hackathons, and founded nonprofit STEM programs focused on expanding educational access internationally.

The session will include a live Q&A, with space for attendees to ask questions directly and hear unfiltered experiences from both speakers!
