About Event

Most people don’t set out to be uncivil at work.
Yet under pressure, stress, conflict, or repeated frustration, civility is often the first thing to slip.

This talk explores what really happens to our behaviour when we feel overwhelmed, disrespected, unheard, or pushed beyond our limits, and why civility is not about being “nice,” agreeable, or emotionally suppressed.

Civility is a skill.
And like any skill, it matters most when conditions are difficult.

Attendees will gain:

  • An understanding of what civility is and why it is important

  • What happens to us when we reach our limits

  • A practical toolkit for what to do in the moment, when emotions are high and the stakes feel real

Choosing to show up, even to this talk, is the first step.
