Agentic Day x Mel — Global AI Hackathon

36 hours to build. Three hours to demo, learn, and polish.

Build something real with Mel — the agentic terminal that turns plain English into working projects.

Your build window starts Saturday at 08:00 EST.Sunday includes a live demo, mentor, and submission-coaching session.Final projects are due Sunday at 2pm EST.

Build solo or join a team. Bring an idea, ship a working demo, and show how Mel helped.

Event schedule

Saturday — 08:00 EST Mel access, invite code, starter kit, and Hackathon Credits arrive.

Sunday — 11:00–14:00 ETLive Hackathon Session:

  • Show your build

  • Get live mentor feedback

  • Ask technical and submission questions

  • Improve your demo

  • Prepare final submission

Sunday — 2 PM EST Final submission deadline.

Agentic Commerce

Build storefronts, product tools, checkout flows, order operations, inventory automation, or customer workflows.

Good project ideas:

  • Margin and inventory rescue dashboard

  • Product-bundle generator

  • Customer support workspace

  • Returns and order-operations tool

  • Small-business storefront helper

Agentic Finance

Build dashboards, budgeting tools, reporting workflows, analysis, forecasting, or internal finance operations.

Good project ideas:

  • Cashflow signal dashboard

  • Invoice and payment tracker

  • Expense anomaly detector

  • Founder reporting workspace

  • Subscription and runway planner

Use public, mock, or sanitized data only. Do not build trading or lending advice tools.

Agentic Marketing

Build campaign tools, landing pages, content systems, lead-generation workflows, CRM helpers, or reporting dashboards.

Good project ideas:

  • Campaign experiment engine

  • Landing-page testing workspace

  • Content calendar builder

  • Lead-research workflow

  • Brand-message analyzer

Agentic Engineering — Debug, Test & Ship

Bring an existing GitHub repo, choose a curated broken starter repo, or use a project with an open issue.

Use Mel to understand the codebase, trace a bug, write or improve tests, make a focused repair, and prove the result.

This track tests real developer work: investigation, code changes, test execution, review, recovery, and clear handoff.

Build anything inside your track. Your project must solve a real problem and show a working user flow.

What judges will look for

  • 35% — Usefulness: Does this solve a real problem?

  • 25% — Execution: Does the working flow feel complete?

  • 20% — Creativity: Is the approach fresh and thoughtful?

  • 20% — Mel use: Did Mel materially help planning, building, debugging, reviewing, or testing?

Judges

Projects will be reviewed by a panel of founders, operators, and engineers across AI, software, and developer tools.
Judge names will be announced closer to the event.
