Agentic Engineering — Debug, Test & Ship
Bring an existing GitHub repo, choose a curated broken starter repo, or use a project with an open issue.
Use Mel to understand the codebase, trace a bug, write or improve tests, make a focused repair, and prove the result.
This track tests real developer work: investigation, code changes, test execution, review, recovery, and clear handoff.
Build anything inside your track. Your project must solve a real problem and show a working user flow.
What judges will look for
35% — Usefulness: Does this solve a real problem?
25% — Execution: Does the working flow feel complete?
20% — Creativity: Is the approach fresh and thoughtful?
20% — Mel use: Did Mel materially help planning, building, debugging, reviewing, or testing?
