​Join the Sisterhood of the Travelling Journals!
​What is it?
​A collection of personal journals that travel from woman to woman among the Craft Corner members of the Girls in Luxembourg community.
​Each participant has her own journal, which she starts and eventually receives back. During the initiative, your journal travels through the hands of other participants, while you also contribute to the journals of other women.
​How does it work?
​Each participant starts with her own journal. You can use a notebook you already have at home, or let us know if you would like us to buy one for you.
​Every ~2 weeks, your journal is passed to another participant, while you receive someone else's journal.
​When you receive a journal, add one or two pages: a story, photo, drawing, advice, memory… whatever you want!
​Once you've added your pages, pass the journal on to the next participant. You can meet her in person or send it by another convenient method.
​At the end of the journey, your own journal comes back to you, filled with contributions from the women who took part.
​During the process, participants are welcome to share photos of their pages in the Craft Corner WhatsApp group and inspire each other.
​The result? Every participant gets a unique collective memory made up of the thoughts, creativity and stories of the women in our community.
​Note: We propose meeting on Saturday 26 September for coffee, to start the first pages together, and to make the first exchange at the end of the gathering!
​Some questions:
​Which format for my journal can I use? Feel free to use the format that you think it is the best - what we recommend is to use a notebook that you have at home. If you also want us to buy the notebook, let us know.
​I can't join on 26 September for the first gathering; can I still join this project? Of course! Just let us know, so we can organise the gathering.
​What is the topic of my journal? This is up to you! No rules.
​Do I have to meet in person for all the following gatherings? No, not really. We will propose some days to gather every ~2 weeks, but if you prefer to send it by mail to the next person, it will be fine too; just let us know so we can coordinate this.
