Steppin' Over Cancer: Concrete Steppas™ Annual Cancer Awareness Event
Saturday, November 14. Doors at 9:30. We step at 10:00.
Concrete Steppas™ and Lee's Flower Shop turn a morning at Union Station into something that moves. Line dance, flowers, and straight talk about the cancers that touch our families.
WHY LEE'S
Lee's Flower Shop has served Washington since 1945 and is still run by the Lee family, now in its third generation. Standing in that room is part of the point.
WHY NOVEMBER
October gets the pink. November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month, Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, Stomach Cancer Awareness Month, and National Family Caregivers Month. These are the cancers nobody throws a party for, and the caregivers nobody sends flowers to. We are doing both.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Line dance with Concrete Steppas™, taught from zero. Cancer education and prevention, and the kind of real talk that does not happen often enough. All levels welcome, no experience needed. Wear something you can move in and shoes you can turn in.
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
This is a fundraiser. After event costs, proceeds go to a cancer organization we will name on this page before ticket sales close, and we will publish what was raised.
