About Event

Entre Mundos is a decolonial ecology gathering and a place for reclaiming and celebrating connection to the natural world

We’ve organized a day of reconnecting with land, ancestry and each other. Together we will explore the wild edge of Sintra's forest and the sea. Landscapes are not resources to manage, they are our living teachers, and together we will slow down, work with our hands, harvest and cook, and gather for a sunset beach Baithak of music, poetry and story telling.

Who This Is For?
Entre Mundos is a space for black, brown, indigenous, migrant and diasporic communities of the Global South — including but not limited to South Asian, SWANA, and other historically marginalized communities — to reconnect with land, ancestry, culture and collective belonging.

The Day:

09:30–11:00  Arrival & Orientation (walking from Almoçageme to a permaculture project where we will conduct the first few activities, with tea and snacks waiting)

11:00–12:30  Getting Into the Body (thinking about the connection between our bodies and nature)

12:30–15:00  Harvesting and Lunch (we will harvest ingredients, cook on the fire, and share stories over lunch)

15:00–17:00  Hike and Reflections (we will hike into the forest, continuing our reflections)

17:00–19:00  Beach Baithak (at Praia da Adraga, storytelling, music, poetry with the sunset as our backdrop ' there will be light snacs and drinks)
