​We’re excited to invite you to Down 2 Play, our new in-person games event intended to bring people across Sussex and beyond together through the power of video games.

​Hosted by Sussex Games, the event will take place across a whole day and looks to celebrate games of all kinds, from some of the most talented developers around. Bringing together indie developers, games industry professionals, students and creatives for a day of games, talks, networking and community.

​Sussex has so much game development and video games ecosystem taking place here, some people's favourite games are developed here like PowerWash Simulator, Mafia Series and LEGO Horizon Adventures to name a few!

​Yet, the attention goes elsewhere or not shown enough at other events - we believe that should change and Down 2 Play aims to put Sussex on the map for video games.

​Whether a family looking for a day out, a career seeker looking to get into video games, or an avid gamer - there be something for everyone!

​​​Venue Accessibility

​The Brighthelm Centre has step free access and non gendered accessible toilets on the ground floor. The venue has a lift to to allow access to all levels of the building alongside additional gendered toilets on the second floor.

​​​Food & Drinks

​Unfortunately we won't be serving any food at the event, however Brighthelm Centre is suited around a number of food options and we as event organisers are currently exploring the possibility of discounts from local vendors - Stay Tuned for updates!

​We will have water stations throughout the event.
