Implantable Brain-Computer Interfaces: where are we now?

​From Oxbridge to Synchron: a clinical perspective on implantable neurotechnologies 🧠

​​Jamie Brannigan is a clinician scientist trained at the University of Cambridge and now practising at the University of Oxford - he will be shortly off to continue his practice at Mount Sinai Hospital, NYC.

​Jamie's primary research interests are the clinical translation of implantable brain-computer interfaces, and the development of novel endovascular approaches to BCI.

​Jamie has several years of BCI experience across academia and industry, and holds an honorary research fellowship at UCL - collaborating on studies aimed at assessing the clinical needs and patient preferences for implantable BCI devices. He also leads an ARIA-funded project and works with a globally-leading neurotech company: Synchron.
