GoodBaudi™ Book Club
GoodBaudi™ Book Club is a monthly gathering featuring Hot Off the Shelf, founded by Jamaican book enthusiast Taleah Bogle. Hot Off the Shelf reviews literature from across the diaspora, with a particular interest in Caribbean authors and stories.
Each month, we’ll gather over food and coffee at a Black-owned coffee shop to discuss our current read and select the next one together. Our reading list will move across authors, genres, and subjects, with space intentionally made for Caribbean literature and the writers contributing to it.
Founded by a Jamaican-American attorney, GoodBaudi™ is a community of Caribbean young professionals. The Book Club is an opportunity for us to see one another regularly and connect outside of work and traditional networking. Good conversation, new places, familiar faces, and a reason to make reading part of the month.
Like everything we build at GoodBaudi™, the Book Club touches health, wealth, and economic impact in practical ways: making time to read and think critically, creating space for meaningful social connection, supporting Black-owned spaces, and purchasing and engaging with the work of Caribbean authors.
We’ll have a few ground rules to keep the discussion thoughtful and make room for different perspectives. We look forward to meeting you, fellowshipping together each month, and continuing to support Black-owned businesses in our community.
