Tech Lands started with a idea floated by Alex Myers, that people building things in Portugal deserve a place to find each other. Built around international perspectives, curious minds, and the kind of conversations that don't have an agenda.
This first edition is our kickoff: a chance to meet each other, share what we're working on, and decide together what this community should look and feel like.
Whether you're an expat who just landed in Portugal, someone who's been here for years, or a local who loves connecting with people from different backgrounds. You're welcome here.
What to expect
🎤 Lightning talks — 5 to 7 minutes each. Anyone can propose one: a project, an idea, something you've been exploring in AI, tech, or anything adjacent. No slides required.
🗣️ Open discussion — We'll use part of the evening to ask: what do you want Tech Lands to be? What events, formats, and topics would make you show up every time?
🍻 Networking — Plenty of time to meet people and follow the conversations wherever they go.
Who is this for?
Tech people living in Portugal — especially expats and internationals, but genuinely open to everyone. If you care about technology and like meeting interesting people, you belong here.
