Think James Bond... but in a hackathon
The creator economy has a problem.
Creators have built enormous audiences, incredible personal brands and businesses around their taste, knowledge and influence.
But much of that value is still trapped inside the creator.
Their audience asks the same questions over and over.
Their best recommendations live in their DMs.
Their taste lives in their head.
Their product knowledge lives across Notes, Instagram, TikTok, spreadsheets and a thousand browser tabs.
And the creator becomes the bottleneck.
Tano wants to change that.
So we're bringing together a small group of exceptional builders for a 12-hour experiment:
Find something stealing a creator's time, attention or commercial potential. Then steal it back.
This is not a traditional hackathon.
There is no generic prompt.
There is no requirement to build an AI agent.
There is no prize for using the most tokens.
And there is definitely no prize for making the most complicated architecture.
Instead, we're giving builders access to realistic creator businesses, real-world evidence and a genuinely messy problem.
Your job is to investigate, decide what matters and build something people would actually use.
THE HEIST
The entire day is framed around one simple mission:
STEAL BACK THE CREATOR'S TIME.
Each team receives a Tano Creator Case File containing evidence from a fictional but highly realistic D2C creator business.
You are not told exactly what to build.
Instead, you receive clues... plus a special surprise part way through
THE PEOPLE
We're interested in people with approximately 3+ years of meaningful experience, but age and traditional pedigree aren't the point.
We're especially interested in:
Engineers
Product-minded builders
Ex-founders
Failed founders
Self-taught developers
Creative technologists
Designers who code
People from unconventional academic backgrounds
People who have built things from scratch
Computer Science degrees are not required.
In fact, we're deliberately looking beyond the traditional engineering pipeline.
We care about:
Taste.
Curiosity.
Technical ability.
Speed.
Product instinct.
And obsession with solving problems.
