About Event

These days, it seems like there are many freely available and even free AI-related tools.  You can use your favorite utility chatbot (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.), download open-source models, download open-source libraries and packages that do everything from pretraining, to fine-tuning, preference-pair training, evaluation … to full-on agent/chatbot building, complete with retrieval, tool use and more.  With such a large variety of available tools, packages and datasets, it would seem like there’s no need to pay for anything, even if you have a true business-worthy problem that you think might be solvable with an LLM.  But is that correct?  What effort really goes into building actual models and, more important, applications that businesses need? Our very own Michael Guadarrama, who was one of the inaugural AI SIG members, will be leading an interactive presentation and discussion, exploring these questions and more.  Michael is the founder and C.E.O. of the Westport-based AI startup Coegil.
