Plant Spirit Meditation
Plant Spirit Meditation is a guided experience in meeting a plant and opening up to its healing. If possible make an herbal infusion (infuse a single herb in hot water an hour to overnight, strain and pour into cup of choosing) to anoint the energy centers and drink. Together we'll enter the theta brain wave state to bridge our subconscious and conscious mind through a deeply relaxed state.
This is a space to connect with nature and remember we are nature embodied -- meant to be Stewards of the Earth. The plants offer us their gifts of resilience, strength and hope during trying times.
About the Facilitator
Miranda is a community herbalist rooted in a lineage of Borikén diaspora espiritistas and medicine women. Mariposa Apothecary uplifts ancient and ancestral wisdom offering plant medicine remedies and education. This work is meant to remember our belonging to Mother Earth and be a bridge for reverent relations.
She has been a student of the Earth for over a decade. After living at an ecological center in Spain, she spent three years learning clinical herbalism with Olatokuboh Obasi at Well of Indigenous Wisdom, followed by a year as an apprentice to folk medicine and earth stewardship at School of the Sacred Wild with Marysia Miernowska. She walked the Red Road with elder Bibi Kukuya through Taíno Teachings and was mentored in vibrational medicine as the director of an apothecary based in the Bay Area. Miranda continues to learn the ways of Earth medicine through various teachers and courses, most recently Herbalism for Kids with Myrto Douskaloudi.
