The Tea Party
Sip & Shift: For Black women redefining love, legacy, and lifestyle.
We sip with purpose. We shift with power.
Sip & Shift is returning this October with another intimate tea party designed for Black women who are ready to rest, reflect, and realign.
This isn’t just about drinking tea. It’s about gathering in community, creating space for honesty, and remembering that we don’t have to navigate love, healing, and life on our own. Over cups of healing teas rooted in Afro-diasporic traditions, we’ll laugh, journal, and dive into real conversations about love, boundaries, and emotional intimacy. Think of it as a mix of cozy sisterhood, cultural ritual, and deep reflection—all held in the warmth of Sisters Uptown Bookstore in Harlem.
Guided by coach and facilitator Jennifer Gornik, we’ll sip on healing herbal teas, each blend carrying ancestral wisdom and medicine for the soul. Together, we’ll engage in thoughtful conversations about love, boundaries, and emotional intimacy—exploring what it looks like to stand firmly in your truth while embracing softness.
We’ll gather over warm bites inspired by Black and Afro-Caribbean traditions, and every guest will leave with a curated gift bag to continue their journey at home.
Sip & Shift is a spiritual and emotional practice. It’s about remembering that healing doesn’t have to happen in isolation. That we are allowed to rest. That we are worthy of spaces where our voices are celebrated and our stories are honored.
Come ready to sip, to share, and to shift into deeper alignment with your own power and purpose.
