Practical AI for Educators: A Two-Part Working Course

​Most AI trainings for educators are an hour of demos and a list of tools you never open again. This course is built differently. Across two hands-on Saturday sessions, you'll work directly with AI on your own real teaching tasks, guided step by step, with a week in between to try things in the wild and come back with questions.

​The course is anchored in the Ethos framework of 40+ practical use cases across six areas of an educator's work. You won't just watch these demonstrated. You'll build with them.

​Session 1 — Saturday, Sept 26: Build Your Foundation
Get productive with AI fast, then put it to work where teachers spend the most time: planning and content creation, plus assessment and feedback. You'll draft real materials for your own classroom during the session and leave with a starter workflow and a between-session challenge.

​Session 2 — Saturday, Oct 3: Go Deeper and Make It Stick
We start by troubleshooting what you tried during the week. Then we expand into student-facing learning support, administrative and communication tasks, and higher-order creative uses, and each participant assembles a personal AI toolkit matched to their actual teaching load.

​By the end of the course, you'll walk away with:
