Touch Grass & Glue Things 🌿
Hosted by Elsie Escobar & Bree Nachelle
The Vibe
Our brains have too many tabs open. Let’s close the laptop (mostly), put the phone in another room, and remember what it’s like to make something with our actual hands.
This isn't a "webinar" or a structured workshop—it’s a sanctuary for your hands. Join Elsie and Bree for a hybrid hangout where we prioritize tactile play over digital noise.
What are we doing?
There’s no "right" way to participate. Show up with your pile of stuff and use the time for:
Junk Journaling: Finally use those ticket stubs and pretty scraps.
Stationery & Soul: Write a letter, address some envelopes, or doodle.
Tactile Admin: Organize your stickers, update your paper planner, or file that "random" pile of paper.
Glue Things: Cut, paste, and create for the pure, analog joy of it.
The Hybrid Logistics
In-Person: SW DC
Virtual: Via Google Meet
📦 What to bring (Your "Joy Kit")
Don't overthink it. Just grab:
Adhesives: Glue sticks, washi tape, or double-sided tape.
Tools: Scissors or a craft knife.
The "Junk": Old magazines, mail, stamps, or packaging.
Paper: A notebook, cardstock, or that fancy paper you’ve been "saving."
A Beverage: Tea, coffee, or something bubbly.
A Note on Tickets
We’re keeping this accessible for everyone! If you’d like to support the session and buy the hosts a coffee (or a fresh glue stick), there’s an option to "Pay What You Can" at checkout. No pressure at all—we’re just happy to have you.
A Note on the Name
We called it Touch Grass & Glue Things because sometimes you just need to ground yourself and make a beautiful mess. No scrolling allowed. Just soul.
