field:work | Algo-rave (ft. Christoven Tan & Lynette Quek)
For our first 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱:𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 Community Gathering, we’re bringing together an evening of experimental sound, live visuals, improvisation, and computational performance.
Algo-rave brings together artists working across different approaches to live electronic and audiovisual performance—where instruments, objects, electronics, code, and systems become things to play with in real time.
Christoven Tan works across contemporary music and free improvisation, bringing together modified instruments, electronics, effects, and synthesis in performances driven by spontaneity, playfulness, and risk-taking.
Lynette Quek turns toys and everyday objects into sources for sound and image, using piezo pickups, unconventional microphones, live visuals, and real-time processing to amplify and transform their hidden textures.
Expect an informal evening of performances, experiments, strange sounds, and things being pushed somewhere they weren’t necessarily designed to go.
Come hang out, have (or bring your own) drink, and make some noise with us :)
Community Gatherings is a monthly series within 𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱:𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, bringing people together through performances, informal gatherings, shared experiences, and opportunities to spend time with the wider community.
