A Different World — Watch Party (Premiere Night)

​A Different World returns to Netflix September 24 — 39 years to the day the original series premiered. We're not watching it alone. Pull up with Flava for a virtual watch party.

​We're syncing up on Scener to watch the premiere together and talk it through in real time — episode 1, and episode 2 if that's how the drop lands. Free, virtual, and just for us. RSVP and we'll send everything you need before the 24th.

​Q: What's Scener? A: A virtual watch party platform with built-in video and audio chat so we can see and hear each other while we watch — up to 10 of us on camera, with unlimited guests joining by text chat only.

​Q: What do I need to join? A: A Netflix login, and a laptop or desktop with Chrome to host. If you're joining (not hosting), the Scener browser extension or app works.

​Q: Can I join from my phone or iPad? A: iPhone and iPad users can join through the Scener app. There's currently no Android app, so Android users will need a laptop or desktop browser to join.

​Q: Do I need to sign up for anything? A: Just Scener itself (free) and your own Netflix account. No extra account needed beyond that.

​Q: What are we watching? A: The A Different World premiere — episode 1, and episode 2 if that's how Netflix drops it. We're not committing to a third live.

​Q: Is this free? A: Yes, always.

​Q: What if I can't make the exact time? A: Pull up whenever you can during the hour — the room stays open, and the group chat keeps going even if the episode's already started.
