ICE OUT OF LA Mural Unveiling & Block Party

Celebrate community self-defense against ICE through a new mural by @ray_of_light__art, @signsofmovement, and neighbors in South Central on October 25th from 2:30-6pm! 🎀💖💥🍭🐷🔥🗑️🎉🪅

Amidst our political climate of fear and grief, we are hosting a defiant mural unveiling / block party for joy, play, creativity, remembrance, and a little bit of travesura 😜😏

What to look forward to:

🫔FREE FOOD through a local vendor buyout! (RSVP at bit.ly/pinatamural so we can try to get a head count — no need to use your real name or email!)
💥Resources and ways to get involved with @communityselfdefensecoalition
🎸@lxs.cochinxs live band and DJ TBD
🕯️Altar commemorating people murdered by ICE by @jeong.la
🎨Collaborative mini mural facilitated by @artivists_united
🪅Piñata decorating with Janet Rodriguez @_janetwhy_

All ages welcome!

Please carpool, take public transit, or bike if possible!

This has been a beautiful community-powered project reclaiming ownership over public space in our city! Please respect the neighbors who have supported this mural through donated food, paint, good company, and even car repairs 🥹 Thank you, and see you there!
