June Yarn Club at Eleventh Hour (ft. Boss Mare Shearing)
Eleventh Hour Brewing | 5:30–9:00 PM
SHEEP TO SKEIN: Wool's Journey with Boss Mare Shearing
Join us at 5:30 for a special pre-Yarn Club talk with Melinda Wamsley, owner of Boss Mare Shearing.
With a degree in Ruminant Production from Ohio State, Melinda has sheared sheep, goats, llamas, and alpacas across the east coast since 2020. When not shearing, she performs her "Celtic Crossfit" demonstrations at Scottish Highland Games and educational demos at major fiber festivals. She'll take us through wool's complete journey - from ethical shearing practices to surprising end products, including medical supplies, insulation, and more.
Regular Yarn Club follows at 6:30 where you can:
- Bring your WIP, grab a drink, make some friends
- Hit the Friendship Table if you're flying solo
- Enjoy all fiber arts - knitting, crochet, embroidery, whatever
The Setup:
- Friendship Table - Reserved for solo crafters
- Open seating everywhere else
- Knit PIT merch available (stickers, project bags, measuring tapes)
- All fiber arts welcome
First time?
Hit the friendship table. We've all been the new person.
