Write to your representative about AI Safety

​​Thousands of Americans believe that AI companies may soon build dangerous systems that they cannot control.

​AI companies are racing to build more and more capable AI models as fast as they can. Their explicit aim is to build general-purpose agents that can perform any job cheaper, faster and better than any human. And yet they have no serious plan to keep these models safe and under human control.

​If you're concerned about AI then one of the easiest and most effective things you can do to actually make a difference is to write to your representatives and explain your concerns.

​In this workshop we'll walk through writing and sending an email:

• ​How to find contact information for your representatives at the state and federal level.

• ​How to write an effective email that doesn't get ignored.

• ​Further steps you can take after writing an email.

​The event will take place at Collider, a membership-based co-working space for high-impact professionals. The address will be shown when your registration in confirmed. The space is open to attendees of this event from 6pm to 9pm.
