Quantum Computing + AI: The Emerging Computing Frontier
Everyone’s talking about quantum computing. Very few people have actually tried it. (For Global Northeastern University, Students)
In this 2-hour workshop, you’ll build and run your own quantum circuit using Qiskit, IBM’s open-source toolkit, then explore how quantum computing and AI might work together, minus the hype.
No physics background or heavy math. If you’ve written a bit of Python, you’re good.
Meet your host: Prof. Ganesh Subramanian
Prof. Ganesh Subramanian is an IBM Qiskit Advocate and AWS Academy Educator who has spent years making complex tech feel approachable. He builds AI, cloud, and cybersecurity curricula for universities and professionals, and applies AI to drones and aerospace as a Technical Developer and Trainer at Aero 247.
He also shares real-world AI and drone tutorials on his YouTube channel, TeamDronix, and has authored two books, Motivate-Cultivate-Replicate and Public Speaking: Make It Simple.
You’ll be learning quantum from someone who knows both the tech and how to teach it.
You’ll learn how to:
🔹 Understand qubits, superposition, and entanglement in plain language
🔹 Build and simulate a quantum circuit in Qiskit
🔹 See where quantum and AI research actually meet
🔹 Tell what’s possible today from what’s still years away
You’ll leave with a starter Qiskit notebook, a Quantum + AI concept map, and a free learning roadmap to keep going
