Singers of all experience levels, styles, and languages.
What is it?
This is an exploration of the human voice and all that it is capable of. Rewire invites singers to learn how to go inward to find their singing voice, not through guesswork or misinformed exercises, but through understanding their own experience of singing in the present moment. We will learn how the mind, body & awareness come together as the “voice” to enable healthy, reliable and beautiful singing. This workshop contains activities involving vocal technique, ear training, and body awareness to help singers gain real control over their sound. The Rewire approach is genre and language agnostic and is built on the idea that any sound made by the voice can be broken down into its four fundamental qualities or ingredients - volume, pitch, tone and articulation. Through this workshop, singers are introduced to the knobs that control these four qualities while singing and will take them on a curious journey of discovering their true voice.

Stronger understanding of how their voice actually works
Practical exercises for breath support, range building, tone exploration, and pitch accuracy
Renewed confidence and a different relationship with their voice than the one they arrived with
How to recognize and work through common issues such as tension, pitchiness, shakiness, breaks or flips, lack of emotional character
How to build their own practice routines
How to apply vocal technique directly to real singing, in their own songs, not as a separate exercise
A sharper ear for listening to great singers and understanding what makes their voices work
